Georgia Days were held in Athens

On October 21-22, “Days of Georgia” were held in Athens with the support of the Embassy of Georgia in the Republic of Greece and the participation of organizations of the Georgian diaspora in Athens.

Within this event, on October 21, at 2:00 p.m., Nodar Dumbadze’s Youth Theater presented a performance called “Sunny Heart” at the Moskhato Culture Center. The mentioned project was implemented within the framework of the “Diaspora Initiatives Support Program”, which is financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia under the initiative of the Greek-Georgian joint cultural program. The performance was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Nodar Dumbadze.

The celebration of Georgia Days in Athens continued from 11:00 am on October 22 in the open amphitheater of Galatsi Municipality (also known as Alsos Veikou). As part of the concert program, excerpts from choreographic ensembles, vocal groups and theatrical performances of the Georgian Diaspora of Athens were presented.

The guests of the event had the opportunity to enjoy Georgian culture, see the works of Georgian artists in Athens, taste delicious Georgian cuisine and participate in traditional sports competitions.
