The price is approaching the level existing before the energy crisis

Electricity is cheap: its price is approaching the level before the energy crisis.

In February, the initial price of solar electricity approaches the level existing before the energy crisis.

Transmission rates for the average customer start at 11.7 cents per kilowatt hour, up from a January low of 13.6 cents.

The decrease in the cost of a kilowatt-hour is related not only to a decrease in wholesale electricity sales, but also to a large extent to a decrease in the profitability of suppliers.

Retail electricity averaged 3 cents more than wholesale electricity, compared to fall 2022 and January 2023, where it sold 30 cents more.

ξ 12-month fixed plans start at 12.9 cents with a permanent discount, and the cheapest fixed plan without a discount is 14.9 cents.

Competition is expected to intensify on the new fixed rates, which can now last for less than 12 months.
