“The landslide came down.” in the village of First Obcha of Baghdati Municipality
Leri Barnabishvili, Head of the Department of Relations with the Regions of the Government of Georgia, Zviad Shalamberidze, Imereti State Trustee, and Kakha Enukidze, the mayor of Baghdati municipality, met the families of the Tedoradzes, Vashakmadzes, Dvalis and Kokhias affected by the natural disaster in the village of Perhimo Obcha, Baghdati municipality, and discussed the situation of the disaster victims and the implementation of liquidation works.
Strong wind and several days of rain created problems for Baghdati Municipality. As a result of the strong wind, trees were uprooted, power transmission lines were damaged. At this time, the electricity supply has been restored in the municipality.
More than 120 residential houses and several administrative buildings remain without roofs. The Infrastructure Service of the City Hall of Baghdati Municipality is working in emergency mode and the damage is being counted.
Bad weather and strong wind created some problems in Imereti. Municipalities work in emergency mode. Calculation of losses and implementation of corresponding liquidation works have also started.
